Turkish Film Week 2021

This program, showcasing some of the best of Turkish cinema, presents a unique insight into Turkey, past and present, and aims to showcase, through the prism of cinema, the challenges Turkey faces today. The films will be accompanied by short lectures (in Heb.)

The Eye of Istanbul

Through documenting the work of the great Turkish photographer, Ara Güler, The Eye of Istanbul offers a portrait of Istanbul and Turkey over the past seven decades. Güler, a member of the Armenian community, captured the city and its residences with a sensitive and sympathetic eye, which only enhanced the greatness of his art.
