A moving, coming-of-age drama about a pensive and talented boy growing up in a Jewish household during 1980s New York. At a new school, he forges a brave friendship with a Black student from a difficult home, despite his parents’ disapproval (Oscar winner Anne Hathaway, Les Misérables, and Emmy winner Jeremy Strong, Succession). It seems that the only one who understands him is his refugee grandfather (Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins).
