Fifteen years ago, Polish-Canadian filmmaker Eric Bednarski obtained an amateur 8mm film of life inside the Warsaw Ghetto, during WW2. This is the only existing footage of the Warsaw ghetto that was not shot for Nazi propaganda purposes. Inspired by this footage, Eric Bednarski combines the unique footage with survivor testimonials, interviews with architects and urban historians, and the Nazis’ unrealized plans for post-war Warsaw.
