Maor Zaguri’s debut film, following an exceptional career in television and theatre, is a coming-of-age story of a teenager discovering his sexuality. Set against the backdrop of desert landscapes, a family crisis, and unfulfilled fantasies, Zaguri captures the tension between sex and death. This is an impressive first feature - intense and dense - that showcases talent when it comes to the use of cinematic tools, not least thanks to the cinematography and a talented young cast.
