Right after WWII, Grace, a young mother of two, awaits the return of her husband from the war. On the door of the family estate knocks an odd threesome who offer themselves as household servants. Grace accepts, especially since she needs help taking care of her children who suffer from a rare sensitivity to sunlight. But the servants' strange behavior, the children's frightening visions, and Grace's increasing anxiety lead the entire household into the grips of horror.
