Lucy Stanbridge has inherited a publishing house on the brink of bankruptcy. Her last resort is Harris Shaw, who 50 years ago wrote a best seller and is still under contract for a follow-up. To fulfill his obligation, Lucy forces Harris to embark on a promotional tour that will bring the two face-to-face with a new generation of readers.
