Bellamy

France 2009 | 110 minutes | French | Hebrew, English subtitles

A cinematic delicacy served up nonchalantly by Nouvelle Vague founder Claude Chabrol. This summer, like every summer, police inspector Paul Bellamy (Gerard Depardieu), takes a vacation with his beloved wife in the south of France. A strange man asks to meet our inspector and confesses that he "sort of killed" someone but won't reveal whom. A suspenseful affair from the murky past twists and winds before our eyes as Bellamy tries to conduct a private investigation under the nose of the local police. Meanwhile, his half-brother, Jacques, stops in for a visit. Bellamy is the last film made by the great Claude Chabrol.
