Minnesota, the 1960s. Just when his son is about to celebrate his bar mitzvah, Larry Gopnik's life turns upside down. From here on, everything turns downhill.... In their most personal film to date, the Minnesota-born and bred Coen brothers reveal some of the inspirational sources that have made their films original and unique.
