Italian Between Words and Images: Graffiti, Illustrations, and Comics

The 20th Italian Language Week
 
Marking Italian Language Week, Italian Institute of Culture of Tel Aviv will present three films – a classic animated feature, an innovative adaptation of a classic tale, and a film based upon a graphic novel.
 
The films will be available to watch in Israel, free-of-charge, starting October 19 at 12:00 and until November 8 at 12:00.

Lucky and Zorba

Cinderella the Cat

In Napoli's port, a mysterious ship is the home of Cinderella the Cat. Her father was a wealthy scientist and businessman who dreamt of repairing the port. Since his passing, the port has become harbor for crime and neglect and Cinderella is living in the shadow of her horrid step-mother and six step-sisters. As the big ball approaches and on the backdrop of corruption, injustice, and grid, Cinderella seeks to avenge her father's death. 

The Armadillo's Prophecy

Based upon the graphic novel of the same title by Zerocalcare, Emanuele Scaringi's The Armadillo's Prophecy is the story of a talented artist that makes a living doing odd jobs, such as decorating walls and tutoring Italian literature. In a state of uncertainty and anxiety, our protagonist is faced with questions of growing up.
