Three decades ago, Sonny Hayes was a promising race car driver; until a serious accident took him off the track. Now, an old friend asks him to return to Formula 1 to mentor a young, talented driver in need of guidance. Joseph Kosinski, director of the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick - the film Spielberg credited with “saving Hollywood”- now shifts the story to the world of auto racing, swapping Tom Cruise for Brad Pitt.
