The final major battle of World War II took place in Okinawa in June 1945, accelerating the decision to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. A computer programmer aims to turn this battle into a video game that also presents the historical context. However, the programmer dies prematurely. His lover begins playing the unfinished game and, to progress, enlists the help of internet users, hoping to complete it. In the same originality and genius that marked his entire career, Marker created this 1997 film; a blend of video game, documentary, and techno-thriller mystery.
