The 2020 devastating explosion in Beirut’s port is the starting point for Lebanon-born Australian journalist Daizy Gedeon journey back to her homeland to try and determine what went wrong. She meets friends, colleagues, and local politicians, and depicts the coarse reality of the country – of its allure and cosmopolitan atmosphere that exist alongside powerful forces that use the state's resources for their own needs. With irony and frankness, Daizy turns to political leaders and tries to understand the source of the corruption and how can it be combated. The result is a contemporary portrait of a Middle Eastern country that is in a continuous political crisis due to an inability to reach a political decision.
