Conversation with Kai Jack, founder of The Dream Orchestra Jerusalem and musical pieces by the project participants.

The Dream Orchestra Jerusalem is a social-musical project for the children and youth of Jerusalem's asylum-seeker community started in October 2021. It focuses on using music as a tool for social change and empowerment. Kids from the age of 7 and up learn music in free orchestra-based group lessons. The project's founder, musician Kai Jack, from Norway, came to Jerusalem 3 years ago and fell in love with the city and its mosaic of cultures. After learning about the city's asylum-seeker community Kai decided to start the project. The project is open to any child interested in learning music and currently has 15 kids learning different orchestral instruments.

Followed by recorded conversation with Daniel Labin, Vice President, International Projects at Sesame Workshop.
