In the late 1970s, the UK was facing a financial and social crisis, which the National Front used to stoke the fires of hate against immigrants and foreigners. A theater director and photographer decides to speak up and use the power of culture to counter-protest the voices of animosity. What began as a letter to the press brought thousands of young punk-heads and rock-heads to the streets and the stage and led to the birth of Rock against Racism. Rock, reggae and ska bands gathered for a rock concert, highlighted by performances by The Clash, the Tom Robinson Band, Joy Division, and other. This remarkable and historical moment is told through a wealth of archival footage, music, and interviews.
