Laura Adler is the queen of the Tel Aviv Yiddish Theater – its days of glory are a thing of the past. When she is diagnosed with cancer, she decides to forego treatment and plans to end her career onstage. Director Avraham Heffner creates a sensitive melodrama connecting Adler's death to the curtain falling on the Yiddish theater and its shtetl culture.
