A Fading Language, A Fading Cuisine chronicles the centuries-old Ladino language and Sephardic food culture of the Jewish community in Turkey. Academics, writers, and native Ladino speakers describe the extinction of the Ladino language and simultaneous loss of Sephardic culinary practices, while providing us with a glimpse of this past and taste of a fading yet evolving culture.
