Academy Award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles, originally from Israel. His short film, SKIN, won the 2019 Oscar for Best Live Action Short. The feature version won the Fipresci Prize at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. His film GOLDA, starring Helen Mirren, premiered at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival, and won the Cinema For Peace Award. TATAMI, co-directed with Iranian filmmaker Zar Amir Ebrahimi, premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival. It won the Jury Prize as well as Best Actress at the Tokyo Film Festival, and Best Film at this year's Munich Film Festival.
