A fascinating evening exploring the exhibition and Film “Gone with the Wind” through three perspectives

Gone with the Wind, the iconic film that has influenced culture for over 85 years, will be re-examined in a special event. Join us as we explore the cinema, fashion, and historical backdrop of this legendary film, as well as, the perservation process of the exhibition—through the eyes of three fascinating experts:

Naama Rak, writes about film, TV and pop culture for Walla, Time Out and Fisheye.co.il; content creator and lecturer, will moderate the evening and present a cinematic reading of the film.

Liroy Choufan, a fashion theoretician, researcher, and lecturer at the Hebrew University and Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. His articles have been published in leading publications in Israel and abroad, will explain the background of the period costumes.

Michael Maggen, a renowned paper conservator whose work includes the preservation of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Aleppo Codex, and the diary of Israel’s first astronaut, Ilan Ramon, will reveal the behind-the-scenes process of conserving original design items from the Gone with the Wind exhibition, and their significance as part of global cultural heritage.

Audience members are invited to visit the Gone with the Wind exhibition before the event and stay for a special screening of the monumental film at 19:30.
