Truffaut's adaptation of Ray Bradbury's science fiction novel about a future civilization in which all printed material is banned. The hero of Fahrenheit 451, the temperature in which the books burn, is one in charge of taking care of the books. Following a love affair with a young rebel, he begins to read, rebels against his superiors, and joins the people of the books who preserve the literary works by memorizing them.
