Anthony Zimmer

France 2005 | 90 minutes | French | Hebrew subtitles

Anthony Zimmer is a mystery for the French police. One of the biggest money launderers in the country, he goes to a plastic surgeon every couple of months to change his appearance. His only problem is that his beautiful girlfriend Chiara isn't so willing to change her own look. And so, to divert the police from his trail, he sends Chiara on a mission: get on a train, grab some guy, and from then on everyone will be sure they know what Anthony Zimmer's new look is. The guy she finds on the train is an irritating, recently divorced, translator, who can't believe how this woman fell into his lap. The following morning, when the police and half the underworld are on his trail, he gets kind of stressed out, though being taken for an arch-criminal isn't such a bad thing. A polished thriller that benefits from the gorgeous Riviera backdrops, a great chase scene, and an ensemble of actors that clearly enjoyed themselves in the making.
