Saramago's Heirs – Six Short Films

The José Saramago Literary Prize, created one year after Saramago was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, honors the talent of young authors under 40. They are the “Heirs of Saramago” and the protagonists of this documentary series. Voices from different backgrounds with a common link: the literary recreation of the Portuguese language. Closely following each of these writers (in Portugal, Brazil, and Angola), the series reveals an intimate and emotional portrait of some of the most prominent voices who write in Saramago's language.
