The Women on the 6th Floor

France 2010 | 106 minutes | French, Spanish | Hebrew subtitles

Paris, 1960. Jean-Louis lives in the middle-class apartment building which his family has inhabited for the past three generations. Life in the building is pretty boring. That is - until the housemaid resigns! Suddenly, the lives of Jean-Louis and his wife turn upside down. But as luck would have it, the sixth floor is inhabited by some extremely helpful Spanish housemaids (who escaped Franco's regime): they know how iron, clean, and cook, and their warm and kind disposition are set to change Jean Louis's life. A small, successful, and ironic comedy starring the brilliant Fabrice Luchini.
