1963. Antoine returns wounded from Algiers and finds a position as lighthouse keeper at Ouessant Island. The locals do not appreciate his sense of humor or his attempts to win them over. His only friend is his colleague Yvon, whose wife catches his eye. The romantic triangle, together with the excellent cast and the naturalistic approach, creates a delicate romantic drama.
