Kamil is a wanna-be rapper. He has no income and is a chronic liar. Iwona has it all – a huge apartment and means – but she feels suffocated in her marriage. Aneta lives with a roommate and seeks thrills wherever she can get them. Around these three characters and the romantic and sexual connections that link them, Aleksandra Terpińska created an urban hip-hop opera. Although the plot flirts with enough familiar dramatic moments and perhaps not everything here is politically correct, the true star is the original and bold cinema: there is a narrator that pops up to promote the plot, internal dialogues delivered in poetry, and style changes according to the point-of-view. In summary, Other People is an innovative, current, and brilliant work. Do not miss.
