Camilo is the adopted son of an indigenous couple of the Quillasinga tribe. He is the only black man in his community and has always felt different. Now, he sets out on a journey in search of his origins. While the journey reveals the complexity of Colombia and the uniqueness of the community that adopted this boy, Camilo learns that the boundaries between fire and water, between nature and nurture, and between expectations and possibilities are elusiveness.
