Aiman, a 28-year-old correctional officer living with his older sister, is transferred to a top security prison. When the personal assistant to the chief executioner quits, Aiman is offered the position. He decides to accept the job and learn the profession of killing, but his conscience and family history soon haunt him.
In his second film, Singaporean director Boo Junfeng (Sandcastle) tackles Singapore's strict capital punishment laws, through the touching story of a young man who has to face both the cruel system he works in and his own personal tragedy. The film, whose script was developed in the Sam Spiegel International Film Lab, premiered in the recent Cannes Festival.
