The woodcutter and his wife lost a child a few years ago. One day, a train passing through the forest leaves behind a baby girl wrapped in a tallit. The woodcutter refuses to take her in, the daughter of the 'heartless' people, but his wife insists. From this starting point, wise French director Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist) created an animated tale of dark days, redemption, survival, and confronting prejudice.
