Empty Days

Pierre, until recently, was a senior management team at a large company. He is happily married and has one child. Marie-Do was a warehouse worker. She is also happily married and raising two children. Both lost their jobs and met one afternoon at the supermarket. They both find themselves with plenty of free time that allows them to spend more and more time together - coffee, conversation about ha and da, and mutual support before job interviews. The beginning of their relationship is quite formal, with no sign of romantic frenzy. However, after they get acquainted, a rare intimacy develops. What's next? What will happen when they realize that their relationship has gone too far and that they can't exist without each other? In her third film, Marion Vernoux not only touches on familiar dynamics, she does so with a mature, subtle, and restrained approach - without unnecessarily exaggerating emotions and situations.
