Christine Angot is one of the most prominent voices in contemporary French literature, with over 20 published books, acclaimed plays, and numerous literary awards to her name. She has also co-written two screenplays with renowned filmmaker Claire Denis. In A Family, Angot turns to documentary filmmaking for the first time, bringing a deeply personal story to the screen. While promoting her latest book in Strasbourg—the city where her father once lived—she confronts painful memories of his sexual abuse, which she has spoken about publicly.
