Times have changed in Sainte-Marie-la-Mauderne. Once there was plenty of work in this picturesque fishing village, but now there are hard times. A plastics factory proposes establishing a plant in the village, but on the condition that the residents find a full-time physician to live in the town. The locals devise a scheme to convince a Montreal doctor that there is no finer place on earth. Will they succeed?
