The Stranger

USA 1946 | 95 minutes | English | Hebrew subtitles

Inspector Wilson of the Commission for War Crimes is sent to Harper, Connecticut, in the hope to unmask a notorious Nazi leader, now posing as a schoolmaster. The film contains quite a few elements from Welles' greatest works: a secret about someone's guilt, a fascinating investigation that will reveal the true face of the keeper of the secret, and of course the magnificent "Grand Finale."
