Fearless

Huo Yuanjia is one of the great masters of kung fu. The film follows his road to master of martial arts, from hubris and failure, to facing a life of atonement in a rural community of rice growers. As familiar as this plot is, it enjoys two virtues here: well-orchestrated action sequences, and Jet Li presence - who, apart from taking beatings, also knows how to show emotion and warmth, and capture the heart.
