Black Swan

From the moment Nina wins the main role in Swan Lake, she finds herself dealing with feelings of anxiety and pressure. Her artistic director, who demands that she liberate her constricted body, combined with a strict mother, threaten lead Nina though a challenging emotional journey. Black Swan is combined of four colors: white (life), red (passion), green (madness), and black (death). As in all of Aronofsky’s films, the center of the film is the struggle for control between the body and the soul. Natalie Portman’s brilliant award-winning performance gives the film its emotional core.
