At the end of the 19th century, a young Danish priest travels to an isolated area in Iceland to build a church and document the landscapes and the inhabitants. As he treads through the wild and unforgiving land - between rivers and glaciers - he moves further away from his mission, faith, and moral principles. In Godland, a man examines his place in the face of nature - not only the wild and breathtaking landscapes but also one's nature - the cerebral and the carnal.
