Because of Hunger

In 2010, Wu Wenguang created the Memory Project to collect testimonies of the great famine in rural China (1958-61), caused by the regime's Great Jump Forward initiative. As part of the project, hundreds of directors, under Wu's guides, went back to the villages to document the elder's memories.
