In a Future April

Italy 2019 | 75 minutes | Italian | Hebrew subtitles

During the 1940s, the young Pier Paolo Pasolini lived in Casarsa, a small town in northeastern Italy, the birthplace of his mother. Life in the village, on its language, traditions, and vistas, and the daily encounters with the locals, are what shaped his worldview and led him into the arms of the Communist Party. The story of those years is told by Nico Naldini, Pasolini’s cousin, who lived in Casarsa during this period in close contact with his cousin and some years later followed him to Rome, working on some of Pasolini’s films.
