Dear Frankie

Frankie is a deaf nine-year-old. His parents divorced when he was a baby, and his mother has always told him that his father is a sailor. She has even answered all of Frankie's letters, in the guise of his father. When Frankie insists upon meeting his dad, she finds someone to pose as the long-lost sailor. An effective and heartwarming melodrama that has earned international praise.
