This film brings to the screen the story of queer tango dancers in St. Petersburg, who dance in the hope of making a change for the LGBTQ community. The queer tango movement takes the popular, sensual dance and reinterprets it.
Mira, who sometimes seems to be carrying the weight of the entire world on her shoulders, is the captain of a women’s ice hockey team. When a new, spontaneous, free-spirited young woman joins the team, Mira finds herself being swept into a surprising and freeing affair.
Cecilia is a tough surgeon and a single parent who refuses to accept her daughter’s trans identity. When she receives a call that her elderly father, she returns to the family farm to discover a series of disturbing occurrences amongst the farm animals.
