The screening will be followed by a conversation (in Heb.) between Ari Folman and Eran Kolirin about art in wartime, Israeli cinema under attack, and a public discussion that will include a vote on the question "What is a human being?"
A young man stumbles upon a strange ritual where the world is spun around. A group of soldiers is about to shoot a film for a streaming service. A crew of pushers trying to jump-start a car experiences a leadership crisis. A young woman's life changes unexpectedly after an encounter with municipal officials. A young couple transports snow to a film that keeps drifting farther away from them, while a Hasidic tale wrestles with the question: What is a human being?
Some Notes on the Current Situation is a feature film composed of six absurd, slightly surreal tales, each shedding light upon the existential, human and social condition here and now.
