In her third film, Sofia Coppola once again explores the world of a young woman who finds herself isolated in a strange environment whose rules she must decipher. Marie Antoinette, a 14-year-old Austrian princess, is sent to marry the 15-year-old heir to the French crown, Louis XVI. The political dramas unfolding outside have little impact on the domestic tensions within the castle walls—though these events will ultimately lead to the end of her life...
