In the eyes of Heaven
Shifra Kahana
Ayala, an ultra-Orthodox bride, shortens her beautiful long lace wig to her bride despite the threats of her modern stylistic fear. After the act, Ayala feels that she has sacrificed herself on the altar, only to be surprised to find out that she is still not enough for the "Chastity Guard" and will pay a high price in human eyes anyway
Silent Voice
Sara Liba Ravuts
Ahuva, a young ultra-Orthodox mother, comes for a moment of self-care at the wig salon to pamper herself before her sister’s wedding. During her visit, Ruhama, the wig-maker, has her headphones suddenly disconnected in the middle of a call with Elazar, Ahava's husband. Ruhama overhears intense verbal abuse as he demands that Ahava leave the salon immediately and return home. As a bystander, Ruhama subtly communicates to Ahava the message: You’re okay, in a reality where she feels anything but okay. And for a brief moment, Ahava finds the strength to say no to the abuse and yes to herself.
