The Hill

A giant landfill in Kyrgyzstan is an arena teeming with life and death. The hill is neither a village nor a steppe, and it cannot be found on a map; it is a source of livelihood, a place to live, a sanctuary for outcasts. In this chaotic place, a bereaved mother, a traumatized veteran, and dispossessed youngsters, form relationships with abandoned objects, animals, and other people.
