Bye Bye Blues

Canada, the 1940s. A young loving couple: he is in the army, and she is pregnant. While he is posted overseas, she returns to her parents' house, a farm in snowy Alberta. With no news and no money, she becomes the singer of a local band. When her husband comes back from a prisoners' camp in Singapore, the singer is expected to fulfill her traditional roles. A delicate feminist look at women who must face alone a difficult reality as well as prejudice.
