The Tunisian Jewish community is one of the most ancient in the history of the diaspora, its presence dating back 2000 years. Through a series of testimonies and archival research, the film traces the often shattered and moving destinies of three generations of Tunisian Jews, their torn identity, their trauma, their exile, their sense of belonging, and their need to reclaim their roots by moving back to Africa. The result is the reconstruction of a complex and multifaceted identity, divided between two deeply different countries: France and Tunisia.
