Karl is the head lifeguard at an open-air swimming pool somewhere is Bavaria. He is an irritable fellow that is constantly on the swimmers' case. The swimming pool is quite an expense, and the mayor plans on selling it to the highest bidder. Karl cannot and will not come to terms with this, and together with a group of outcasts, he sets out to save his beloved pool. With rounded characters, straightforward plot lines, and messages of compassion and tolerance, comes this kindhearted comedy.
