The film Catwalk begins with Emma Örtlund, who has a disability, writing a letter to Pär Johansson, the founder of the Glada Hudik Theater. She asks him for help to fulfil her life's dream of becoming a model. Pär is touched by her desire to be seen and accepts the challenge. Together with the Glada Hudik Theater, and a group of interesting characters who are not usually seen in the fashion world, they start an exciting and bewildering journey to fulfil Emma's dream of being in the spotlight. Through their unique history and personality, they spread a joy and beauty that feels real and inspires all. They show that there are more ways to express themselves and that fears of differences can turn into understanding and friendship. The movie Catwalk aims to make it easier for the world to understand and respect these wonderful people in a charming and thoughtful way. It's their turn to shine!

The film begins in an old industrial warehouse in the Swedish city of Hudiksvall and ends at fashion week in New York.
