In Israel, the Forbidden Journey, a four-part documentary, director Jean-Pierre Lledo embarks on a quest to understand why he rejected the Jewish world, Judaism, and Israel for 50 years. This is a cinematic essay that goes back-and-forth between the director's life story and Jewish history. Chapter Four: Passover.
As father and daughter continue their journey, the director realizes that perhaps his hostility towards Israel is only an attempt to escape that word so short yet so difficult to pronounce: Jew…. While his daughter contemplates what to do with this late legacy.
