A musical biography of Arik Einstein, the artist whose voice served as the anchor for Israeli culture. The series will be screened in two parts, with an intermission after Eps. 3
Eps. 1 From his childhood in Tel Aviv in the 1940s to the three major groups he was a part of. (54 min., Heb.)
Eps. 2 After the Six-Day War, a meeting with Shalom Hanoch gives birth to one of the greatest twosomes of Israeli rock. (53 min., Heb.)
Eps. 3 After Shalom Hanoch leaves for England, Arik collaborates with Shem-Tov Levi and Miki Gavrielov, capturing the spirit of the times. (47 min., Heb.)
Eps. 4 Uri Zohar and Arik’s wife and daughters find religion. Arik works with Yoni Rechter and after a serious car accident, creates his most personal album. (45 min., Heb.)
