Other Screenings

In the 1970s and 1980s, Asian martial arts films had a tremendous presence in Black culture in the United States as well as in the Israeli margins. These films contributed to the consolidation of local identity and the development of resistance to the symbols of the mainstream. Bruce Lee and mythology that surrounded him were important elements of this phenomenon.

Author Paul Beatty (USA) will discuss with Shimon Adaf the connection between Kung Fu, marginality, literature, and cult films, and present to the audience one of his favorite works, Enter the Dragon, starring Bruce Lee, which will be screened following the discussion.

The event will be held in English
