Nicola Galliner, born in London and living in Berlin since 1970, is the founder (in 1995) and director of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin & Brandenburg, and has brought more Israeli films and filmmakers to Germany than any other festival. She was head of the Adult Education Department of the Berlin Jewish Community for over 20 years and has brought out several books on Jewish life in prewar Berlin.
